Eleftherios Alyssandrakis holds a BSc in Plant Protection from the Faculty of Crop Science, Agricultural University of Athens, with an MSc in Plant Protection and a PhD in Apiculture from the same university. He is currently engaged in postgraduate research under the “Research & Technology Development Innovation Projects” (AgroETAK) Action, NSRF 2007-2013.
His research interests centre on Plant Protection and Apiculture issues, such as crop pest control with particular emphasis on Cretan crops, arthropod resistance to pesticides, and the chemistry of honey and apiculture products.
As a Research Fellow of the TEI of Crete, he teaches Pesticide Science, General and Special Entomology, and Apiculture. He also participates in teaching the postgraduate courses in Holistic Plant Pest Control Methods and Applied Entomology.
