Dimitrios Kollaros is a graduate of the Department of Biology, School of Science, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also holds an MSc in Biology and a PhD in Ecology & Entomology from the University of Crete.
He has worked as a postgraduate researcher in the Applied Entomology Laboratory of the University of Crete, and at the Natural History Museum of Crete. His main research interests include biodiversity, plant-insect interactions and Ecosystem Management.
In the Department of Agriculture he teaches the undergraduate courses Plant Morphology-Anatomy, Ecology and Ecosystem Management, and the postgraduate course Ecology, Biodiversity and Biomonitoring of Species & Ecosystems. He also participates in the teaching of the postgraduate course Applied Entomology.
