Dr Markos Kourgiantakis is a researcher and teacher at the TEI of Crete and a business consultant.
He holds a PhD in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Crete, an MSc in Operational Research from the Department of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete, and an MSc in Economics and Management from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania. He held a scholarship from the General Secretariat for Research and Technology. His MSc dissertations were on issues of e-commerce and e-marketing.
Since 2008 he has been a research fellow of the Department of Business Administration, TEI of Crete, teaching Marketing and Management courses. He is a member of the Tourism and Entrepreneurship Research Laboratory of the TEI of Crete. He has published papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings on the New Economy and Management.
A business consultant since 2003, he has collaborated with Cretan agencies and enterprises on management, marketing and project management issues, while he is also the co-founder of a web services company. He has participated in many nationally and internationally funded projects and programmes. He speaks English and Greek.
