A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), will be signed by the Rector Prof. Nikos Katsarakis and the Diplomatic Representative of UNICEF in Greece, Dr. Ghassan Khalil, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 12:00, at the Events Amphitheatre of the School of Health Sciences on the Heraklion Campus.
The signing of the memorandum seals the close and long-standing collaboration of the University with UNICEF, which is, internationally, the United Nations agency for the protection of children’s rights, since 1945. The main objective of the signed cooperation is the institutionalization of Children’s Rights at all levels (living, education, development) at local and national levels, through the development of joint actions by every appropriate means and manner (such as workshops, conferences and public awareness campaigns).
