At HMU, Directory Services have been implemented and are operating effectively. The Institution’s Central Directory Service includes the permanent teaching staff, administrative staff and all students of the Institution and a unique personal identification code (hmu-id) is assigned to each person.
To authenticate access and search for information from various services, the well-known LDAP protocol is used through the Central Certification Service (CAS) of HMU users.
HMU‘s Central Directory Service is connected and cooperates directly with the federal authentication and authorization infrastructure (Authentication & Authorization Infrastructure) Shibboleth of the National Research and Technology Network (EDET), which offers nationwide access to horizontal services for the country’s academic community .
