The Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) is strengthening the link between education, innovation, and entrepreneurship through two key initiatives implemented under the European project InnovaCyBridge.
InnovaCyBridge is a European initiative aimed at bridging innovation with entrepreneurship and enhancing digital skills. HMU, as a project partner, is participating through the Department of Business Administration and Tourism, under the scientific supervision of Assistant Professor Athina Bourdena.
The project’s main initiatives include the Educational Program: “Cybersecurity Lessons for All” and the Two-Day Event: “Innovation & Funding Nights.”
- Educational Program: “Cybersecurity Lessons for All”
HMU is hosting the official educational component of the InnovaCyBridge project by offering five modern, free cybersecurity courses. These are open to students, academic and non-academic staff, as well as any interested individual wishing to develop skills in digital security. Upon completion of each course, a digital certificate is awarded, recognized at the European level. The training is available in three formats:

2. Two-Day Event: “Innovation & Funding Nights”
On September 9 & 10, 2025, from 17:00 to 20:00, a two-day educational event will take place at the IBIS Hotel in Heraklion, focusing on enhancing innovation thinking and utilizing European funding tools. The event is organized by InnovaCyBridge, in collaboration with A8, HMU, and Twinnovation, and is addressed to researchers, academics, and young entrepreneurs who will have the opportunity to:
