The InnoHub of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) and the ECOMINIMIZE project implement the “Green your Business” initiative, an action aimed at reducing the digital carbon footprint of businesses.
The ECOMINIMIZE project is implemented in cooperation with the Dokuz Eylul Technology Development Corporation, Dokuz Eylul University, and the organization BIZRUPT, and is funded by the Erasmus+ KA210-VET programme.
Its objective is to provide entrepreneurs with knowledge, practical tools, and support for the adoption of environmentally responsible digital practices. ECOMINIMIZE seeks to strengthen the green transition of businesses and contribute to the creation of a more responsible and sustainable entrepreneurial environment.
Key Objectives and Deliverables of the ECOMINIMIZE Project
🎯 Key Project Objectives
- Development of tools and methodologies to enhance the sustainability of startups.
- Training and empowerment of startups on carbon footprint awareness and sustainable practices through specially designed educational material.
- Creation of a digital platform featuring educational tools, self-assessment, and support services.
- Development of sustainable development roadmaps tailored to the needs of each participating country (Turkey and Greece).
- Strengthening cooperation among stakeholders (startups, academic institutions, business organizations, etc.).
📦 Key Project Deliverables
🔹 WP1: Toolkit Development
- Analysis and assessment of sustainable practices.
- Development and design of the Toolkit.
- Translation and dissemination of the Toolkit.
- Creation of a Training Book.
- Implementation of focus groups with startups.
- Development of a Self-Assessment Tool.
- Completion of a digital platform hosting all educational materials.
- Development of two sustainable development roadmaps: one for Turkey and one for Greece.
🔹 WP2: Workshops
- Organization of four workshops (two in Turkey and two in Greece).
- Implementation of capacity-building workshops (January 2026).
- Dissemination of educational materials and tools (February 2026).
- Workshops for the finalization of the roadmaps (March 2026).
- Provision of supporting materials, identification of speakers, and venue rental.
🔹 WP3: Multiplier Events
- Organization of two final events: one in Turkey and one in Greece.
- Engagement of all key stakeholders (startups, public and private bodies, universities, etc.).
- Provision of logistical support, printing services, speakers, and dissemination of the project results.
