🎯 Programme Objective:
The aim of the programme is to provide applied knowledge and skills for the economic and managerial analysis of transport systems, services, and markets.
The programme addresses the need of students, graduates, professionals, and executives to understand how transport services are organised, costed, priced, regulated, and evaluated. Particular emphasis is placed on applications in urban transport, coastal shipping, maritime transport, logistics, tourism mobility, and intermodal transport.
The relevance of the programme is further enhanced by the fact that it is based on comprehensive educational material and a book authored by the Programme’s Scientific Coordinator, covering transport economics, transport business management, demand, costs, pricing, investment appraisal, regulation, risk, and applications across different transport markets.
The programme has a strong practical orientation and leads to a specific deliverable: a short applied analysis of a transport service, transport market, or transport-related problem. In this way, it supports the mission of the Training and Lifelong Learning Center to provide applied, professionally relevant, and scientifically grounded continuing education.

The programme “Transport Economics and Management: Markets, Costs and Business Decisions” is addressed to:
• students and graduates in business administration, economics, tourism, logistics, maritime studies, engineering, and related disciplines,
• executives working in transport, tourism, shipping, supply chain management, and mobility services,
• employees of transport organisations, Local Government Authorities, development organisations, and bodies involved in the planning or support of transport services,
• professionals interested in the economic analysis of costs, demand, pricing, and the financial viability of transport services,
• entrepreneurs and executives of small and medium-sized enterprises who wish to gain a better understanding of the operation and management of transport systems.
