The 16th International Scientific Conference: ‘Chaotic Modeling and Simulation – CHAOS 2023 will be hosted from 13 to 16 June 2023 at the main building of the School of Health Sciences of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) in Heraklion, Crete. The Conference is co-organized by the Department of Accounting and Finance, the Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management (LAFIM) and the International Society for the Advancement of Science and Technology.
The conference will be held both in person and online. The goal of the CHAOS 2023 conference is the exchange of opinions and scientific conclusions regarding the applications of chaos theory in both social and applied sciences, mainly through non-linear dynamic models, Fractal geometry, but also computational methods of empirical data analysis. More than 110 international scientific papers will be presented at CHAOS 2023.
As part of the CHAOS 2023 conference, an honorary plaque will be awarded to the Professor and former Vice Chancellor of the Technical University of Crete, Dr. Christos Skiadas, from the Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management (LAFIM) of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, in recognition of his many years of contribution to the promotion of science and academic research.
Also, during the conference, Keynote Addresses are scheduled by the following invited Professors: Anastasios (Tassos) Bountis (Department of Mathematics, University of Patras, Greece), Asher Yahalom (Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Center for Astrophysics, Geophysics, and Space Sciences, AGASS, Ariel University), Leszek Sirko (Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland), FWieslaw M. Macek (Institute of Physical Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, Warsaw, Poland, and Space Research Centre, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland), Bo-Wen Shen (Department of Mathematics and Statistics, San Diego State, U.S).
The results of the Conference will be published in a special volume edited by Springer International Publishing House. The Chair of the Conference is Dr. Christos Skiadas, Professor and former Vice Chancellor of the Technical University of Crete and Dr. Christos Floros, Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Director of the LAFIM Research Laboratory and member of the Board of Directors of HMU.
