On Friday, March 24, 2023, the “Open Days” of HMU were organized for the 2nd consecutive year by the Liaison & Career Office at a pancretan level.
More than 1200 high school students from Crete had the opportunity to visit, from Monday 13 to Friday 24 March 2023, the 11 Departments of the University in Chania, Rethymnon, Heraklion and Lasithi and participate in activities that were specially planned for them. This year, for the first time, in addition to the in-person visits, schools were given the opportunity to be informed online.
The actions of Open Days 2023 concerned:
> in the reception and information of those interested in the Undergraduate Studies Programs at HMU– Perspectives of Postgraduate Studies Programs
> in the presentation of the Departments & tour of the teaching areas and the Laboratories
> participation in events, demonstrations, etc.
The program of activities focused on the professional interests of the students and the Scientific Fields. Thus, each group of visitors had the opportunity to choose and attend actions in areas of special interest.
Also, throughout the 15th day, the Liaison and Career Office presented and informed the visiting students and professors about the additional actions and services of HMU, while the student volunteer group “ConnectHMU” conducted daily guided tours and walks in the central facilities of HMU Campus in Heraklion (Restaurant, Restaurant, Library, “MARKOS KARANASTASIS” Indoor Gym) so that visitors have a general idea of the university.
