Hellenic Mediterranean University, in collaboration with the Decentralized Administration of Crete, has undertaken the project for the establishment and operation of the Urban Green Observatory of Crete. The inauguration of the Urban Green Observatory of Crete will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 12:00 at the Amphitheater of “Markos Karanastasis” Sports Center on the University Campus in Heraklion. The Scientific Director of the project is Professor Panagiotis Nektarios (Department of Agriculture). The project “Creation of an Observatory and Institutionalization of the Installation and Management Procedures for Urban Green in Crete” is funded by the Regional Development Program 2021-2025 of the Region of Crete.
At the inauguration event, all of the innovative equipment acquired by the Urban Green Observatory of Crete, which is used for instrumental analysis when assessing the safety of urban trees, will be presented.
