Nineteen (19) faculty members of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) have received significant international recognition, as they are ranked among the top 2% of the most influential scientists worldwide. This distinction comes from Stanford University’s annual ranking, published in the Elsevier Data Repository. Considered one of the most reliable and internationally recognized rankings, it includes the top 100,000 scientists globally and is based on rigorous criteria such as citation count, h-index, and overall scientific impact.
The evaluation covers both the annual scientific influence of researchers and their career-long scientific contributions. The HMU researchers who received this distinction are active in cutting-edge fields such as: Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Power Electronics Systems, Electronics and Communications, Computer Engineering and Computational Systems, Music Technology and Acoustics, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Nursing.
