The Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) will host the International Virtual Exchange and Intercultural Education Conference (IVEC 2025) in Heraklion, Crete, from October 15 to 17, 2025.
IVEC is the leading global event in the field of virtual mobility and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), attracting researchers, academics, and university professionals from around the world.
Hosting IVEC represents a significant distinction for Greece and Crete, highlighting HMU’s pivotal role in internationalization, digital education, and intercultural collaboration. The initiative aligns with the European strategy “Internationalization at Home”, which seeks to broaden all students’ international experiences through innovative forms of teaching and learning.
As HMU Vice-Rector for International Relations and Extroversion, Professor Konstantinos Petridis, stated:
