Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU): Dynamic Participation in “Innovation Days – InnoDays 2025”

The Hellenic Mediterranean University actively participated in the “Innovation Days – InnoDays 2025,” which took place at the International Exhibition Center of Crete on 28–30 November 2025, under the auspices of the Region of Crete, the Ministry of Development & Investments, and the General Secretariat for Research & Innovation.

The Innovation Days have been established as the most significant regional event for entrepreneurship and innovation in Crete, with more than 180 participating organizations, laboratories, companies, and collaborative clusters. HMU presented its research and technological activities at a unified booth (B7), through laboratories and research teams active in critical fields of science and technology.

During the event, the Rector of HMU, Professor Nikos Katsarakis, delivered a welcome address at the opening ceremony. He highlighted the fact that this growing institution promotes research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Crete, while also serving as a meeting point and platform for interaction between research/academic institutions, businesses, innovation bodies, and the wider public. Academics and researchers of the University participated with a series of speeches and presentations, while members of the University also contributed in organizational roles, such as in the Idea Incubator “Evangelos Grigoris” and the Innovation Marathon “Artemis Saitakis.”

HMU’s presence at InnoDays 2025 showcased the University’s contribution to shaping a modern and technologically dynamic development model for Crete, highlighting the connection between academic research, society, stakeholders, and entrepreneurship.
