Students of Crete get to know the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
The Career Office of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) is organizing the Open Days 2026, which will take place during the week 16–20 March 2026, in the cities where the University develops academic activity, namely Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Agios Nikolaos and Sitia.
Through this important outreach initiative, the University opens its doors to the school community of Crete, offering students and their accompanying teachers the opportunity to become familiar with the academic environment, the educational opportunities and the modern facilities of a student-centred university.
During the visits, participants will have the opportunity to receive detailed information about the Undergraduate Study Programmes offered by the University’s Departments, tour its facilities—including lecture halls, laboratories and the library—and learn about the academic, research and laboratory work carried out at HMU.
At the same time, students will be able to attend and actively participate in experiential educational activities, such as demonstrations, experiments, interactive events, laboratory presentations and specially designed educational sessions addressed to the school community. These activities have been organized by the University’s staff in order to provide a meaningful and engaging introduction to the scientific fields and study opportunities offered by the Institution.
The “Open Days 2026” at the Hellenic Mediterranean University constitute a unique opportunity for young people in Crete to become acquainted with student life, learn about the academic and professional prospects available to them, and shape their educational and career orientation in a more informed and comprehensive manner.
