The 13th International Week of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) began on Monday, 25 May 2026. The event is organised by the International Relations Office and takes place from 25 to 29 May 2026 at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania – MAICh, in Chania.
HMU International Week is held every year in May and has developed into a highly popular institution, attracting participants from universities and organisations from all over the world. With its steady momentum and strong interest from participants, it has gained loyal supporters and has become a point of reference for the University’s international outreach.
This year’s event welcomes more than 400 participants, confirming the continuously growing international impact of the initiative.

🔹 COILs – Collaborative Online International Learning Programmes

🔹 Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

Through lectures, workshops, roundtables, poster sessions, networking activities and the exchange of experiences, participants have the opportunity to develop new partnerships, explore opportunities through Erasmus+ and other international programmes, and discuss future joint projects.
The event strengthens HMU’s institutional ties with partner universities and highlights the University’s commitment to innovation, international outreach and international cooperation in education and research.
