The Directorate of Student Welfare of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) informs students that, within the framework of the Social Programme of the Region of Crete, the provision of free transportation on urban KTEL bus services will continue during the 2026–2027 academic year for students who are beneficiaries, or dependent members of households receiving the Minimum Guaranteed Income (E.E.E. – formerly K.E.A.).
The initiative applies to the cities of Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Sitia and Agios Nikolaos and is implemented in cooperation with the urban KTEL bus operators of Crete.
Interested students are required to submit the necessary supporting documents using their institutional student email account.
Deadline for submission of supporting documents: Tuesday, 20 October 2026.
