The Equal Access Unit of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) extends an open invitation to all members of the academic community, including students, as well as teaching, research and administrative staff, to join the Volunteer Network of the Equal Access Unit.
The mission of the Equal Access Unit is to provide support to persons with disabilities and/or special educational needs, with the aim of ensuring equal opportunities for access and participation in all aspects of academic life.
Through the Volunteer Network, members of the university community can actively contribute to creating an accessible, inclusive and supportive university environment that responds to the needs of persons with disabilities and/or special educational needs and strengthens their equal participation in the educational and social life of the University.
At the same time, the Network’s activities contribute to informing and raising awareness among the university community and wider local society on issues related to disability, accessibility, equal participation and inclusion.
Participation in the Volunteer Network represents a meaningful contribution to building an inclusive academic community, where every member has the opportunity to participate equally and actively.
