Professor Christos Floros Appointed Chairman and CEO of EADIP-HMU

By unanimous decision of the Council of Administration of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), Professor Christos Floros has assumed the duties of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the University’s Property Development and Management Company (EADIP-HMU).

On the occasion of assuming his new duties, Professor Christos Floros stated:

“It is a great honor and a significant responsibility to have been entrusted by the Council of Administration with the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EADIP-HMU. I would like to sincerely thank the Rector, Professor Papadogiannis, and the members of the Council of Administration for their confidence in me.

EADIP plays an important role in the development of the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Through the effective utilization of the University’s assets, we must further strengthen its outreach, partnerships, and links with society and the productive sector.

Our goal is for EADIP to serve as a dynamic and effective driver of HMU’s development, creating new possibilities and opportunities for the benefit of the University, Crete, and society at large.

Through cooperation, strategic planning, and the effective use of all the capabilities and resources available to HMU, we can make a substantial contribution to the further development and strengthening of our University. The new administration of EADIP places priority on reinforcing its developmental and outward-looking role, with particular emphasis on creating synergies, making effective use of available resources and infrastructure, and opening up new prospects for the Hellenic Mediterranean University.”

Dr. Christos Floros is a member of the Council of Administration of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU). He is Professor of Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance of HMU’s School of Management and Economics and Director of the Master’s Degree Programs in “Accounting and Auditing” and “Financial Management.”

He is also Director of the established Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management (LAFIM), as well as Director of the Institute of Economic Analysis, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the University Research and Innovation Center (PAKEK-HMU).

His main research interests include contemporary issues in financial markets and corporate finance, risk management, modern banking, and applied economics. Dr. Floros is ranked among the leading academic economists in Greece according to international rankings and currently serves as President of the Multinational Finance Society (MFS).
