Smart Innovation Symposium #2: Research and Innovation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

On Friday the 21th of October 2022, from 09:00 to 17:00, the Smart Innovation Symposium #2 (SIS) https://lnkd.in/d84t5xU3 takes place at the Indoor Gym “MARKOS KARANASTASIS” at HMU in Heraklion Crete. SIS takes place for the 2nd consecutive year and is organized by the Hellenic Mediterranean University and Harokopio University of Athens,while the aim is to highlight the importance of research and innovation in the operation and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
In this context 9 companies that have implemented or are implementing corresponding in research projects will present their research results. Also talks and presentations will take place by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation, the Special Management Service of the O.P. and the Observatory of Innovative Entrepreneurship of the Region of Crete and the Mediterranean Agri-food Competence Center.

Bioresearch Laboratories S.A., (www.biolabcrete.gr), laboratory of analysis and provision of scientific support to private companies and public bodies.
GlafcoS Marine Ltd., (www.glafcos-marine.com), a shipbuilding company with a special interest in wave energy and robotics, with activity both in Greece and in China.
Medical Waste S.A., (www.medicalwaste.gr), a company managing hospital / medical / dental and veterinary waste (liquid and solid).
Lagouvardou – Spantidaki O.E.-Chemical-technical (www.chemicotechniki.gr), laboratories providing laboratory analyses and consulting services.
Lambros Pervolarakis S.A., one of the largest grape and horticultural packing plants in Crete.
Geosystems Hellas S.A., (www.geosystems-hellas.gr), provides software, products and services (inhouse or resale) in the field of remote sensing.
Proactive S.A. (https://lnkd.in/dWZ9AMmm), provision of comprehensive consulting services to businesses and organizations.
Anelixis Development Consultants S.A., (https://anelixisc.gr) consulting firm with a variety of subjects.
As SIS takes place in parallel with Retaste 2022 https://retaste.gr/ an international conference on food waste management participants will also have the opportunity to visit booths of the conference sponsors.
