The Center for Training and Lifelong Learning of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) strengthens the professional specialization of engineers by offering a modern program focusing on the safe operation and technical management of Medium/Low Voltage substations.
🎯 Program Objective
The aim of the program is to provide knowledge and develop the necessary skills for graduate engineers responsible for managing such installations. Beginning with fundamental safety and equipment isolation rules, personnel protection, and the assurance of safe working conditions, the program then addresses technical topics such as:
• Basic equipment components in each category of MV/LV substations
• Connection of the installation to the grid – MV supply systems
• Structure and operation of the installation
• Operation of power transformers and measurement transformers
• Structure and operation of protection systems
• Structure and operation of grounding systems in MV substations
• Auxiliary systems in an MV/LV substation
👥 Target Audience
The program is intended for:
• Graduate Electrical Engineers
• Undergraduate Electrical Engineers
• Graduate or Undergraduate Engineers of other disciplines who are responsible for the operation of medium-voltage installations (15 kV or 20 kV)
🗓 Registration Period: 05/12/2025 – 16/01/2026
