An informative visit for study and research issues, as well as exploring future collaborations, took place on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) in Heraklion, by representatives of 22 German universities and the German Academic Exchange Service in Greece, Deutscher Akademisher Austauschdienst (DAAD).
The representatives were welcomed by the Rector Nikos Katsarakis and the Vice-Rector of International Relations and Outreach Konstantinos Petridis. Both presented the University with special reference to the updated Study Programs , the systematic research of high standards, the implementation innovation projects, the intense internationalization of the institution, inside and outside the European Union, and the collaborations that the University already has with university and research centers in Germany.
During the meeting, the academic Departments were presented by: Ass. President, Department of Accounting and Finance), Assoc. Prof. Emmanuel Roditakis (President, Department of Agriculture), Prof. Emmanuel Karapidakis (Dean, School of Engineering), Assistant Prof. Michael Zografaki – Sfakianaki (Department of Nursing) and Assoc. Prof. Maria Papadakaki (Department of Social Work).
The meeting was followed by a campus tour at the University’s facilities and laboratories, while individual discussions on collaborations and exchanges, involving students and members of the educational and research staff, were held.
