3rd International Conference on Nanotechnology and Bionanoscience (NanoBio 2025)

The 3rd International Conference on Nanotechnology and Bionanoscience (NanoBio 2025) was successfully completed from September 8 to 12, 2025, in Heraklion, Crete, bringing together leading scientists and engineers from around the world.

The event was co-organized by the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of FORTH and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), under the scientific supervision of Dr. Emmanuel Stratakis, Research Director at IESL/FORTH, and Professor Emmanuel Kymakis of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at HMU.

NanoBio 2025 served as a prominent interdisciplinary forum aimed at knowledge exchange and the presentation of innovative research outcomes in the fields of nanotechnology, bionanoscience, and nanomedicine. The cutting-edge scientific program covered areas such as the synthesis of nanomaterials, nanophotonics, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, tissue engineering, innovative solar cells, and nanomaterial safety.

The conference hosted distinguished international speakers such as Professor Chad Mirkin (Northwestern University, International Institute for Nanotechnology) and Professor Natalie Artzi (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT), who showcased the latest advancements in nanoscience and inspired the next generation of researchers.

NanoBio 2025 reaffirmed Greece’s role as a hub of scientific excellence and innovation in the Mediterranean, making a significant contribution to the global research community.
