HMU Co-organises Innovation Crete 7.0 – Reimagining the Future in Chania

The Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) participates as a co-organiser in the event Innovation Crete 7.0 – Reimagining the Future, which will take place on Wednesday, 25 February at the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

For the seventh consecutive year, the event brings together the research community, entrepreneurs, and institutional stakeholders of Crete, highlighting the role of innovation in shaping the island’s economic and social future.

The programme features thematic discussions and interventions focusing on:
• the contribution of research to technological development,
• the dynamics of businesses and innovative entrepreneurship, and
• initiatives by institutional stakeholders to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem.

Special emphasis is placed on the role of Artificial Intelligence and the challenges and opportunities it creates for research, education, and production.

The event serves as an open platform for dialogue and collaboration among universities, businesses, investment actors, and public organisations active within Crete’s innovation ecosystem.

This kind of text quietly does institutional storytelling work: it positions HMU not just as a participant but as a connective node inside the regional innovation network, which is exactly how universities accumulate symbolic capital in innovation narratives.
