The Laboratory of Health and Road Safety (LaHeRS) of the Department of Social Work (https://sw.hmu.gr) at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) is co-organizing, together with the European Association for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion (EuroSafe), the 12th European Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion – EU-Safety 2025.
This important international conference will take place at the Cultural and Conference Center of Heraklion from 30 September to 2 October 2025, and is expected to bring together scientists, policy-makers, health professionals, and civil society representatives from across Europe.
EU-Safety 2025 is supported by numerous organizations, including the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), UNICEF, the Mental Health Working Party of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA), the Municipality of Heraklion, among others.
The conference will focus on critical thematic areas such as:

Traffic Injuries & Trauma: Road traffic accidents, occupational injuries, and the development of integrated trauma care and rehabilitation systems.

Home & Community Safety: Injuries among children, falls, and accidents occurring at home or during leisure activities.

Public Health & Violence: Violence prevention, quality of care, patient safety, and equitable access to interventions.

Digital Health & Surveillance: Use of data and digital tools to improve injury surveillance and prevention efforts.
