The Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) once again had a strong presence at the Researchers’ Night in Rethymno, held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Institute of Plasma Physics & Lasers (IPPL) (https://ippl.hmu.gr/en/home-en/).
From 17:00 to 23:00, HMU opened its doors to visitors of all ages, offering them the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of research and innovation up close. For yet another year, the event served as a vibrant channel of communication between university researchers and the public.
At the IPPL research laboratories, visitors participated in guided tours and interactive demonstrations of ongoing research, including experiments, simulations, and science popularization presentations. Attendees also enjoyed public talks delivered by members of the academic community of Crete.
Highlights of the Event Included:

The event was organized within the framework of the project “Science Odyssey: Research Missions Under Starry Skies,” funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The evening was enriched with musical performances and local delicacies, making it a truly festive celebration of science.
