A working meeting dedicated to the strengthening of academic relations between the Romanian and Hellenic Republic University Institutions was held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Palace of the Romanian Parliament, in the office of the Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Mr. Dragos Zisopol. The discussions focused on the development of bilateral educational and scientific cooperation.
An important moment of the meeting was the signing of Cooperation Agreements between the Hellenic Mediterranean University and the Romanian Universities Petrol-Gas of Ploiesti (UPG) and Petrosani. The Agreements were signed by the Rectors of the Institutions, Professors Nikos Katsarakis, Alin Dinita and Sorin Mihai Radu respectively, in the presence of Romanian and Greek officials.
Within the framework of the agreements, joint research and academic programs and student and staff exchanges will be developed.
The event was attended by important personalities, such as H.E. Mrs. Lili-Evangelia Grammatika, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Romania, Nikolaos Vlahakis, Minister Plenipotentiary of Public Diplomacy of the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic, representatives of the Romanian Academy of Sciences, as well as professors from the two countries.
