Within the framework of the MSc “Community Work and Social Economy”, implemented by the Department of Social Work of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in collaboration with the Department of Sociology of the University of Crete, the ties development with the USA continue as well as the internationalization actions planned by HMU International Relations Office.
During the course “Needs Assessment and Social Planning”, coordinated by Assistant Professor Clio Koutra, Department of Social Work of Hellenic Mediterranean University, Dr Laura Sinko from Tempre University USA, participated as a guest speaker (Friday 04/11/2022).
Dr Sinko presented the photo-elimination method using narrative interview and photography in data collection in needs assessment. The title of her presentation was:
«Applying narrative and photography research methods to enhance understanding of participant lived experiences».
It is worth noting that the above professors belong to the international network against gender-based violence MiStory (Multicultural Study of Trauma Recovery) coordinated by the Laboratory of Applied Social Research and Social Work of HMU
