HMU, with the aim of better serving the educational process, offers its academic community many opportunities for electronic learning (e-learning). They operate digital services that utilize the potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and can effectively support teaching, distance learning and quality educational activities. All HMU Departments use these services to offer upgraded forms of education.
Asynchronous distance learning
HMU uses the Open eClass open source asynchronous distance learning platform to support undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This is course and learning management software created by the “Academic Internet” (Gunet). Today the service supports over 1000 courses, while over 16000 users are registered.
Open Courses
HMU’s “Open Courses” action aims to develop open digital courses, some of which will include recorded video lectures. These courses will be available to the students of the Foundation, but also to the general public. The service is supported by the Multimedia Lab.
Modern distance learning
At HMU there is the corresponding equipment and appropriately configured rooms that can offer videoconferencing services and virtual learning environments for the implementation of modern distance learning courses.
