Advances in Electronic science and technology with an emphasis on Telecommunications, Automation, Control Systems, Computers, and Informatics are rapid and demand continuous adaptation to new cutting-edge technologies.

The mission of the Electronic Engineering Department of the Hellenic Mediterranean University is to provide high-level education in the fields of Electronic Engineering, as well as to advance science and technology by means of basic and applied research.

The Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University regards and upholds its educational mission as part of a long-term effort to reform, upgrade and update the curriculum and the education it offers, to adjust them to the current academic, technological, scientific, research, professional, and cultural reality.

It is worth noting that the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University seeks to maintain a prominent position in the national Higher Education rank, as well as in international educational and research development. This is achieved through introducing modern teaching methods, renewing and updating its curriculum, and expanding its scientific staff on the basis of interdisciplinarity and specialization, as the Department is appealing to esteemed scientists and researchers. At the same time, it modernizes and upgrades its infrastructure, with particular emphasis on laboratory, teaching, and research equipment, as it constantly aims at achieving high-quality educational, technical, and research output.

Upon completion of their studies, the graduates of the Department of Electronic Engineering will have acquired: a) an in-depth understanding of and complete specialization in the science of Electronic Engineering; and b) all necessary scientific and technological knowledge and expertise in Electronics, Telecommunications, Networks, Automation, Computers, Informatics, and Optoelectronic Technologies. As a result, our graduates can pursue a career as a freelancer and/or in collaboration with other scientists, and work both in the private and public sectors on the study, research, and application of technology in present-day specialized fields of electronics.
