The 20th International Scientific Conference “Applied Stochastic Models and Data Analysis – ASMDA” will be hosted at HMU between June 6-9, 2023 in Heraklion, Crete. The Conference is co-organized by the Department of Accounting and Finance and the Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management (LAFIM) of Hellenic Mediterranean University and the ASMDA International Society. The Conference will take place in the School of Health Sciences at Heraklion.
The Conference will be held both in person and online. The aim of the ASMDA 2023 Conference is to bring together professors, academics and researchers from different countries to communicate ideas on modern methods of data analysis and development of mathematical models, with applications both in the fields of financial analysis and economic science, and more broadly, in management and social sciences. More than 120 international scientific papers will be presented at ASMDA 2023.
In addition, within the framework of the Conference, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00, the ceremony of announcing an honorary Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance of HMU, Professor of the University of Piraeus, Mr. Nikolaos Apergis, will be held, who will be honored for the offer in the areas of interaction of Macroeconomics with International Finance and Banking Analysis. During the ceremony, Professor Nikolaos Apergis will give a speech entitled ‘Climate change and monetary policy’.
Keynote speakers at the Conference will also be Professors: Sally McClean (Ulster University, School of Computing, Northern Ireland, UK), Dmitrii Silvestrov (Department of Mathematics, Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden), Claude Lefèvre (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Département de Mathématique, Bruxelles), Fabrizio Ruggeri (CNR Imati, Italy).
The proceedings of the Conference will be published in Data Analysis and Applications by the International Publishing House WILEY. The Chair of the Conference is Dr. Christos Skiadas, Professor and member of the Administrative Systems Laboratory of the Technical University of Crete and Dr. Christos Floros, Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Director of the LAFIM Research Laboratory and member of the Board of Directors of HMU.
