The Municipality of Heraklion organizes information and awareness events for the youth on June 2, 3 & 4, 2023 entitled: “Learning to love and respect Nature”. The aim of the events is to make children and young people understand why is it important to protect the environment and co-exist in harmony with animals.
In this context, an event is being organized at the Museum of Natural History of Crete, with speeches and a guided tour of the Museum for primary school students, on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Also, in the seaside park “Karavolas”, open events will take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June 2023 (18:00-21:00). The events will include speeches and presentations from the Hellenic Mediterranean University and the University of Crete, a presentation from the “Lara” guide dog school, games for our little friends, meeting stray animals and a live musical performance by the Loopia Band.
Co-organizers of the events are the Hellenic Mediterranean University, the Museum of Natural History and the University of Crete, while the Guide Dog School “Lara” supports the actions with a special presentation.
