On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the School of Health Sciences at Heracklion a ceremony of announcing Professor Nikolaos Apergis (University of Piraeus) as Honorary Professor of the Department of Accounting and Finance of the School of Management and Economics of the Hellenic Mediterranean University took place, in recognition of his contribution to Applied Finance in the areas of the interaction of Macroeconomics with International Finance and Banking Analysis.
The announcement ceremony was attended by representatives of the Local Government authorities, members of the University Administration and the university community. On behalf of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, they addressed Professor Nikolaos Apergis and spoke about his work, the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, Professor Athanasios Malamos, the Dean of the School of Management and Economics Professor Stylianos Papadakis, the President of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Associate Professor Ioannis Hatziantoniou while the Director of the Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management (LAFIM) and member of the Board of Directors of HMUProfessor Christos Floros offered him the honorary plaque.
